There are people in
our lives that make an
impact on us.
A lot of those just
happen to be teachers.
Here is a chance to say
thanks.
Schools were closed, then opened, then closed and opened again. Kids were sent home to quarantine
and Zoom classrooms became all the norm. Teachers did as best they could. Parents, caught off guard, put in that
extra effort to support their children’s learning. Often it was an overwhelming experience. But parents and
teachers came to see each other in a new light.
Now with schools open and teachers back in class, it's time to reflect on what we've all been through and how
we've depended on each other. And now, on World Teachers Day, let's throw teachers a well-deserved 'thank you.'
"On behalf of Alberta's teachers, thank you, parents for all you have done over the last 18 months
to help support learning to continue."
– Jason Schilling, ATA President

Thank-you to the teachers of Luc, Sara, and Jeremie.
Firstly thank you to my Aunts that made such an impact on our lives. Secondly thank you to my colleagues that made a difference in my career and impacted so many, many students.
This last almost 2 years of covid has been significantly challenging, and I wonder how they even do it now. So I thank you all, teachers, and may you have some significant rest and relief this year.
Enjoy your long weekend off… You deserve it… Recharge your batteries.
In doing this important and life-giving work, please remember to take gentle care of yourselves, alway!
What I don’t know is how much more difficult it has been over the past 2 years – ie. the Pandemic… I can guess but I would probably not come close…
I constantly think of how tough things must be…
Thank you all for doing what you do !
