There are people in
our lives that make an
impact on us.
A lot of those just
happen to be teachers.
Here is a chance to say
thanks.
Schools were closed, then opened, then closed and opened again. Kids were sent home to quarantine
and Zoom classrooms became all the norm. Teachers did as best they could. Parents, caught off guard, put in that
extra effort to support their children’s learning. Often it was an overwhelming experience. But parents and
teachers came to see each other in a new light.
Now with schools open and teachers back in class, it's time to reflect on what we've all been through and how
we've depended on each other. And now, on World Teachers Day, let's throw teachers a well-deserved 'thank you.'
"On behalf of Alberta's teachers, thank you, parents for all you have done over the last 18 months
to help support learning to continue."
– Jason Schilling, ATA President

Me with children from Banff Elementary School .
Grâce à toi, mon fils s’est senti accepté et en confiance au point de chanter pour la première fois en publique.
Tu fais une différence
Your intuitive perseverance to find that talent makes you a God!
Thank you.
My baby boy (Riya) started kindergarten with this awesome teacher. Education is the Foundation of a child’s life and this teacher made my son love school so much that even on the weekends he wants to attend Mrs. Le’s class.
Teaching online last year was a challenge that you embraced and made a difference in students lives. Your hard work and creativity is great
You taught me that sports was better than hanging out back smoking. That being on a team meant something, where they had your back and you theirs.
And that Math was actually fun.
You’re gone now but I’ll never forget you or the lessons you taught.
If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be where I am now. They always encourage me to give 100%.
