There are people in
our lives that make an
impact on us.
A lot of those just
happen to be teachers.
Here is a chance to say
thanks.
Please tell us who you are.
Schools were closed, then opened, then closed and opened again. Kids were sent home to quarantine and Zoom classrooms became all the norm. Teachers did as best they could. Parents, caught off guard, put in that extra effort to support their children’s learning. Often it was an overwhelming experience. But parents and teachers came to see each other in a new light.

Now with schools open and teachers back in class, it's time to reflect on what we've all been through and how we've depended on each other. And now, on World Teachers Day, let's throw teachers a well-deserved 'thank you.'
"On behalf of Alberta's teachers, thank you, parents for all you have done over the last 18 months to help support learning to continue."
– Jason Schilling, ATA President

The media seem to think that medical professionals are the only “front line workers” – seriously???
We’re once again facing hundreds of kids each day, caring about every one of them, and wishing we knew they were vaccinated.
Teachers are brave, selfless, and caring!

Especially thankful that my teacher daughter recovered from COVID ( since Easter) and is now back teaching. I know how stressful it is now for teachers.

As a former teacher, I stand with teachers!!

Thanks to the many teachers who have battled through the stresses of the pandemic and have done their best to be there for their students. Too many people do not understand or appreciate the work that you, as a teacher, does daily in a normal environment to inspired your students.

The past year has been most difficult for students and teachers. My heart goes out to and applaud your response to keep fighting for the best interests of students , in spite of an uncaring and unresponsive government. Keep up the fight for better learning conditions. Bravo !👍

Thank you for your work during the totally disruptive COVID crisis. Your workload and the uncertainty surely exhausted every one of you. I wish you all the best for the remainder of 2021/2022 and wish you a new stability in the near future. We will emerge from the COVID crisis and our world will never be what it was before but you will embrace the changes that help and discard what does not as you shape the lives of Alberta students.

We wish to thank all the teachers out there that are literally working on the front lines during this very difficult time. It is hard at the best of times but what you all do today is beyond the realm of thought without the lack of judgement by the general public and our government in power .
