There are people in
our lives that make an
impact on us.
A lot of those just
happen to be teachers.
Here is a chance to say
thanks.
Please tell us who you are.
Schools were closed, then opened, then closed and opened again. Kids were sent home to quarantine and Zoom classrooms became all the norm. Teachers did as best they could. Parents, caught off guard, put in that extra effort to support their children’s learning. Often it was an overwhelming experience. But parents and teachers came to see each other in a new light.

Now with schools open and teachers back in class, it's time to reflect on what we've all been through and how we've depended on each other. And now, on World Teachers Day, let's throw teachers a well-deserved 'thank you.'
"On behalf of Alberta's teachers, thank you, parents for all you have done over the last 18 months to help support learning to continue."
– Jason Schilling, ATA President

As a former teacher and a grandmother of children in the publicly funded school system, I can’t imagine how hard you must be working during this pandemic. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you are doing to keep our children safe, happy, and learning each and every day. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Being a teacher (retired) myself, I know some of the struggles teachers are going through. Today, with Covid, the added stress is very heavy. They are helping create our tomorrows…we need to support them in every way possible.
    Thank you, teachers everywhere!

Thanks to all the teachers who show compassion to the children and teens in their care. Your role could not be more vital when you support and affirm the diverse and unique attributes of your students. So much more than subject matter is learned at school, and the teachers who have cared about and accommodated for my kids and their specific learning and life needs are forever in our hearts. Please know that today and every day your role as an educator and advocator is important, necessary and life changing. Thank you for continuing to show up and do your best work in spite of incredible difficulty and potential danger since March/2020. Please remember to take care of yourselves during these difficult times.

My husband is one of the most amazing teachers I know! Thank you for everything you do and for your tenacity, strength and drive to make things better. I know you wanted to quit many times this last year, but you didn’t. You never gave up on any student who needed you. You never gave up. Period.

Without each and every one of you fabulous teachers, my children wouldn’t be who they are today. You showed such so diversity and strength in a time of so much uncertainty. You took on challenges and executed them with such grace. Sending strength and positivity to you all. Thanks doesn’t seem like enough. I’m eternally grateful.

Lee Iacocca once wrote: “In a completely rational society, the best of us would aspire to be teachers and the rest would have to settle for something less, because passing civilization along from one generation to the next ought to be the highest responsibility anyone could have”.
A big THANKS to all you teachers. Keep up the good work.

Teachers work extremely long hours under very difficult and sometimes discouraging conditions but always manage to smile. Teachers are on the frontline and are hero’s, Students, no matter the age, know you are there for them. Thank You

As a person of influence, a teacher has the power to positively impact a child for the rest of their lives. Teachers mentor, nurture, encourage and of course, educate. They likely see our kids for more hours per day than we do. Thank you for making such a valuable difference in the lives of our children.

Mrs. Denise Croteau’s passion for math, science and fitness are an inspiration to both staff and students at Visions West Outreach School.
